Special casket cover with classic Hydrangea

For this casket cover, Pim van den Akker used different colours of classic Hydrangeas from old pink to dark and burgundy red. The base of floral foam is laid in a beautifully shaped 'bed' made of flexible foam covered with coarse sawdust which gives a natural look to this funeral arrangement. The materials have been carefully chosen: both the vines as well as the classic Hydrangea dry nicely and the base remains steady. Classic Hydrangeas stay on the plant longer and therefore get their special appearance. The result is a floral and natural casket coffin.
