Pim van den Akker created a Dianthus hand-tied bouquet for the Pyramide event 'Out of the Box' which was held at Pyramide Floral Shopping Center on Tuesday 2 October 2018. The bouquet was made with the 'hand-tied 2.0' idea. Small glass tubes are fit in pipes covered with old denim jeans in which 100 stems of carnations are placed. The pipes are bound in the hand-tied spiralling technique and glued together with hot glue. When there is a small bundle of tubes, it is tied together with a strip of denim. This action is repeated until an abundant hand-tied construction has been created. The colourful mix of carnations and spray carnations look great in this hand-tied object.
