Roos van Unen literally places the Hellebore on a pedestal. Finished off and adorned with natural materials, the rustic design emphasises the natural beauty. A stunning way of presenting the beautiful Hellebore Frostkiss 'Pippa's Purple' of Kwekerij Verboom.
MATERIALS
Helleborus Frostkiss 'Pippa's Purple', pedestal, a pretty piece of wood, thin birch bark curls, sawdust, tie wraps and a plastic pot.
HOW TO MAKE IT?
Keep tools like a power drill, knives, scissors and a hot glue gun within reach.
Step 1:
Drill a hole in the pretty piece of wood so it can be placed on the pedestal. Also, drill 4 holes in the wood so a plastic pot can be attached to it with tie wraps later on.
Step 2:
Keep the plastic pot near the holes in the wood to mark the 4 places to drill holes in. After drilling the 4 holes in the plastic pot, cover a piece with hot glue and dip this part of the pot in sawdust. Continue this until the entire pot is covered in sawdust.
Step 3:
Attach the plastic pot with tie wraps to the piece of wood on the pedestal.
Step 4:
Cover the tie wraps with thin birch bark curls by gluing these between the wood and the plastic pot.
Step 5:
Take the Hellebore Frostkiss 'Pippa's Purple' of Kwekerij Verboom out of the pot and place this into the plastic pot in the object.
Done! Place this design with the beautiful Hellebore Frostkiss on a sunny spot. In contrary to other Hellebores, this variety can endure direct sunlight. With sufficient light, the marbled pattern will increase and the plant will get more flowers.
