There are so many beautiful blossoms available right now, that it is hard to choose. But we did: Pim van den Akker created a nice tall arrangement with cherry blossoms.

Easy to make, stunning result!

MATERIALS

For this design you'll need: cherry blossom branches by My-Blush, a bunch of Ammi Majus, a clear glass bowl, OASIS® floral foam, wicker, pieces of driftwood, transparent adhesive tape and fine sand

HOW TO MAKE
Keep tools like knives, a hot glue gun, drill and scissors within reach.

Step 1:
Wrap the tape around the top part of the glass bowl. This will make the hot glue stick better to the surface. Glue on the pieces of driftwood all around. Make sure to keep a few pieces to use later on. Put the well soaked OASIS® floral foam in the bowl and cover with sand. Add extra water to ensure the flowers have plenty.

Step 2:
Make sure the cherry blossom branches are cut with a sharp knife in a 45 degrees angle, so they can hydrate as much as necessary. Place them in the floral foam. Give the Ammi Majus a clean cut as well and add them in between the cherry blossom.

Step 3:
Use the drilling machine to make small holes in the pieces of driftwood and make sure the wicker fits tightly. Put a piece of driftwood on either side of a piece of wicker and gently hang them in between the branches. They can rest on the smaller side branches, as these little details are not too heavy.

Done! You have an elegant centrepiece that will evolve in time, when the cherry blossom start to bloom.
